Trip Overview
Upper Mustang, the forbidden kingdom and is one of the most adventurous treks beyond the Himalayas in Nepal. Upper Mustang Trek is a great adventure trek that takes you along the “off beaten path” in the Trans-Himalayan trail. An easy trek that goes along the bank of the deepest gorge of the world, the Kali Gandaki River. The entire region stretching from Kaligandaki, a deserted region, to Kagbeni in the Tibetan south border in Upper Mustang or the Lo-Manthang (3730 m). Mustang is considered to be a restricted area where a special trekking permit is required through a registered trekking agency. The village beyond the mountains as the trekkers will see the mountain in the unusual direction of the south.
In these 13 days, you will explore the many beautiful places of Upper Mustang. Your trek starts from Kathmandu and then drive to Pokhara then headed to the airport to catch your flight for Jomsom. Then headed to Muktinath Temple along with passing through Kagbeni, Chele, Syangbochen, Ghami, Tsarang, Lo Manthang, Dri, Tange and finally to Muktinath. The route offers panoramic views of Nilgiri, Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and several other peaks. The trek also passes through high peaks, passes, glaciers, and alpine valleys. This treks going to be your memorable ones.

Day 2: Pokhara to Jomsom to Kagbeni (2800 M)
After breakfast you drive to the airport for Jomsom flight after Jomsom you headed up to Kagbeni where you need to pass through Ekle Bhatti and after 4/6 hours of walk you reach to Kagbni where you stay the night.

Day 3: Kagbeni to Chele (3050 M)
After breakfast, you gear up for Chele from where you can capture the beautiful scenery of the surrounding. You need to pass the village called Tangbe and Chhusang and you will finally reach the Chere. Stay overnight at Chele.

Day 4: Trek Chele to Syangbochen (3475 m)
After breakfast you gear up for Syangbochen at first you need to pass once through Ekle Bhatti and climb to Taklam La Pass from where you can see the stunning view of Tilicho pek, Yakwa Kang and Damodar Dada. On the way you need to pass through village of Samar and Ramchung cave. And finally to Syagbochena and stay overnight at Syangbochen.

Day 5: Syangbochen to Ghami (3520 M)
After breakfast, you move towards Ghami where you can see fields of barley, Mountains, etc. After an hour of walk, you reach to Ghami where you stay for the night.

Day 8: Exploration day at Lho Manthang
After breakfast you have a plenty of time to explore more about the capital city of Mustang, Lo Manthang, from where you can see the stunning view of Himalayas and explore more about the history, life styles, culture, tradition about the local peoples. Visit four storey Durbar, Chyodi Gompa, Namgyal Gompa, Tingkhar, Tall Champa Lakhang Gompa. Stay overnight at Hotel.
