Bhandar
Bhandar is one of the villages in Jiri, Everest Region of Nepal. It lies at an altitude of 2190 m from the sea level. It takes about 8-9 hours to reach Bhandar from Kathmandu covering 217 km. This village is the starting point for the classic trek to Everest Base Camp. Sir Edmund Hillary and Norgay had started their journey from this village and summited the world’s highest peak, Mt Everest.
