Trip Overview
Mera Peak Climbing (6461 M) is a mountain located in the Hinku Valley of the Everest region and is the most popular trekking destination and is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. Mera Peak climbing is an excellent option for anyone with moderate mountaineering experience. It is a challenging trekking peak due to its elevation, but the technical mountaineering skills requirement is very basic. Mera Peak climbing allows you enough time for acclimatization as well to practice on rugged hills and glaciers before the main adventure to reach on top Mera Peak. We ascend Mera Peak preferably during the spring and autumn seasons as it’s the best time to climb the mountain for its astonishing views of the Himalayan Vista. Five 8,000m peaks are visible from the summit including Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga.
To access Mera Peak Climbing, you have to fly to the tiny airstrip of Lukla and continue our trek to different villages and landscapes finally to Mera Region. This climb does not require any technical Skills but it is physically demanding. The only qualification you need to ascend Mera peak is your excellent physical fitness and an extrovert sense of adventure. Peak climbing equipment and experienced climbing and assistant guides will help you ascend the Mera Peak summit successfully. There are three Mera peaks; North Mera Peak (6476 M), Central Mera Peak (6461 M) and South Mera Peak (6064 M), you conduct this program at central Mera peak. You can choose any of the rest but they are a bit risky.

You will be warmly greeted by Well Nepal at your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), Kathmandu and escorted to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing
Today you are going to explore the several cultural and natural sightseeing in this ancient city Pashupatinath, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambunath Stupa, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. After exploring these places you will do preparation for trek. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Paiya (2730 M)
After 40 min flight from Kathmandu, you arrive at Lukla Airport. During flight, you will be stunned by the dramatic mountain scenery. Our team member will help you in managing your baggage and then through the jungle down to Surke, Pakhapani, and several villages you arrive at Paiya from where we can view peaks like Knodge RI, Khatang, Tang Ragi Tu and other. Day 4: Paiya to Pangkoma (2850 M)
After breakfast, you trail down crossing Kari La Hill, bamboo and rhododendron forest, narrow mountain trail and capturing the beautiful scenery of Dudh Koshi River and Dudh Koshi Himal you arrive at a farming and trade village of PangKongama for tonight. Stay overnight at Pangkoma

Day 5: Pangkoma to Shibuche (2745 M)
Today you will be headed to Shibuche along with passing through rocky paths to rhododendron forest, long Mani wall, through hills, ridges, and teahouses we reach the village of Shibuche. From here south face of Mera peak and Naulekh Peak is seen. Stay overnight at Shibuche.

Day 6: Shibuche to Chetrakhola (3150 M)
Today you trail through steep slopes, narrow and typical mountain trails, Rhododendron forest and Bamboo forest, cross landslide and through crystal clear streams to the jungle again finally at Chetakhola. Stay overnight at Chetra Khola.

Day 7: Chetrakhola to Kothe (3600 M)
Today you will headed to Chetra Khola passing through the Hinku valley enjoying the nature at it best. Then you trail through the rhododendron forest, pine, and Bamboo forest and with the vistas of Mt. Mera and Hinku valley you continue its ridge. Stay overnight at Kothe.

Day 8: Kothe to Tangnang (4350 M)
Today is a short day trek you walk for about 4 hours from Kothe to reach Tangnang. You trail through Hinku Khola, pass through Gondishung and visit Lungsumgba Gompa and a further short walk from there you arrive at Tangnang. Stay overnight ar Tangnang.

Day 9: Acclimatization Day
Today will be your rest day but you will short hike to Charpate Himal which is only 3 hours from your camp. You look close views of Charpate Glacier Himal worshipped by Sherpa’s and spectacular Mera North then head back to camp. Stay overnight at Tangnang.

Day 10: Tangnang to Khare (5045 M) to Mera Base Camp (5300 M)
Today you follow the moraine of Dig Glacier to Dig Kharka with spectacular view of Charpate Himal, Hinku Nup and shar Glacier you then rest we trail through Mera La and camp at Mera Base Camp and enjoy the sunset along with the view of Mt. Everest, Makalu, Cho Oyu, south face of Lhotse, Nuptse and other. Stay overnight at Mera Base Camp.

Day 11: Mera Base Camp to Mera High Base Camp (5780 M)
You take the route through Mera La to reach the Mera High Camp today. You need to walk through rock-strewn area for about two hours while making your way to Mera High Camp and this can be a bit hazardous if it has recently snowed, as there are a number of crevasses here. You make your way to the top of the rock band, which is marked by a large cairn. Stay overnight at Mera High Base Camp.

Day 12: Mera High Base Camp to Summit (6461 M) and back to Khare
Today is really a big day so you start at early 1 A.M. in the morning. After breakfast, your group will put on crampons and rope and set up for a special journey to the summit. If you are a well-acclimatized group, it takes around 4-6 hours to reach the summit of Mera central for you. From the summit magnificent views of Mt. Everest (8,848m/29,021ft), Cho-Oyu (8,210m/26,928ft), Lhotse (8,516m/27,935ft), Makalu (8,463m/27,760ft), Kanchenjunga (8,586m/28,165ft) and many peaks can be seen. After achieving the summit, you retrace your steps down to high camp and back to Khare. Stay overnight at Khare.

Day 13: Khare to Kothe (3600 M)
After the successful climb, you trail through the west side exploring the forest and through the Hinku Valley and rest at Kothe. This day is short and easy plus you can have rest after reaching Kothe. Stay overnight at Kothe.
