Trip Overview
Bhairav Kunda Trek is a spiritual trek that lies in the North-East of the Kathmandu Valley near the Tibetan Border. Bhairab Kunda Trek is less explored and only limited visitors visit here. Bhairav Kund - means a holy lake named after a destructive name of Lord Shiva the "Bhairav". A holy place for both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimages so many numbers of pilgrims come to visit here. It’s an old trade route between Nepal and Tibet. You can see Jugal Himal, Dorje Lakpa Himal, Gauri Sankar Himal, Langtang Himal, Rolwaling, Panch Pokhari Himal. Bhairav Kunda Trek is just only for 10 days where you go up to the high altitude of 4200m. So it is graded an average trek. Your trek from Balephi and the route pass through Chanaute, Khani Gaon, Pati, Bhairav Kunda, Sherpa Gaon, Larcha and back to Kathmandu. On the way, you can observe the magnificent view of different mountains and villages, catch the scenic beauty of nature and explore the lifestyle, culture, traditions of the peoples. After breakfast you move for sightseeing Pashupatinath Temple (temple of lord god Shiva), Swayambunath Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square And many more places of Kathmandu valley. You back to the hotel and preparation for trek and stay overnight at hotel.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Balephi to Chanaute (1250M)
After breakfast, you drive towards Balephi for 6 hours and stay for a while and start your trek towards Chanaute. Explore the village and stay overnight at Chanaute.

Day 8: Bhairav Kunda to Bhairav View point (4200M) to Sherpa Gaun (2500M)
After breakfast, you climb to the Bhiarav viewpoint from where you can see the magnificent view of its surroundings and Langtang, Jugal, Rolwaling, and Tibet mountains. And again trail down to the Sherpa Gaun where mostly Sherpa community lives. Explore the surroundings and stay overnight at Sherpa Gaun.
